ABOUT IAYP
A Youth-Led Architecture Organization
Founded by Vitória Carneiro Zhu and Nikki Ivanova in 2020, the International Architecture Youth Panel strives to guide students who want to pursue architecture as a field of study. IAYP provides a wide range of resources to youths as well as a forum for sharing ideas, creating content, having educated discussions, and, most importantly, learning from others and from professionals. IAYP provides opportunities for students in architecture beyond this online platform.

OUR MISSION
For the future of architecture...
All members of the International Architecture Youth Panel will work to learn, share, educate, and create.
As a collective, we strive to empower and inspire the voices of the future.
We will become better equipped as individuals and as professionals to study and work in the industry of architecture.

We will be committed to innovation, sustainability, and improvement of life for us and for others.
YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD

I co-founded IAYP to create a community of aspiring architects. Growing up in London, I have often been surrounded by inspiring architecture, ranging from Renzo Piano to Christopher Wren. I believe architecture defines the spaces around us and is so much more than just design. I look forward to my career in architecture and what the future will bring.
NIKKI IVANOVA, 17
CO-FOUNDER

I co-founded IAYP as a way to share my curiosity in architecture with like-minded youths. As I begin my final year of high school, in Hong Kong, I find myself increasingly excited about my future in architecture. I believe architecture to be fundamental to social progression and change. My current design project is a redesign solution for subdivided units for low-income families in HK.
VITORIA CARNEIRO ZHU, 17
CO-FOUNDER
I'm an upper sixth form student at Westcliff High School for Boys Academy. My free time is spent on a plethora of extra-curricular activities, which range from 3D modelling, drawing, and painting to Japanese, playing the violin, and reading. With a well-rooted interest in biophilic design and organic genres of architecture, the architectural career path is one that will allow me to stimulate and exhibit my creative passions.
HASHENE MADIPOLA, 17
GLOBAL PROJECT MANAGER

I go by Annie. I'm a junior at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco, CA. I became interested in architecture in sophomore year when I met the architecture teacher at my high school and took my first class.
Since then, I have developed an interest in socially conscious and sustainable architecture and would like to pursue a career in that field.

BELLA SALAZAR HARPER, 17
Hello! My name is Bella, I’m from Austin, Texas, and I am a rising senior in high school. While I devote most of my time to architecturally-related activities, my other hobbies/interests include studio art, playing the double bass in the orchestra, running, and Victorian-era novels. My love of architecture stems from my inability to decide between my academic interests. While I’ve always felt a strong connection to the humanities, I also feel drawn to STEM-related courses. Architecture has allowed me to incorporate all of my interests and produce something new. I hope to study architecture in college this next fall.
JESSLYN GUNADI, 14
Hey! My name is Jesslyn, and I am currently in my first year of High School in Ohio, America. I enjoy running, playing field hockey, and anything related to art and design. Family is also very important to me. I only recently started learning about architecture, but I already love it a lot. I really believe that architecture is the foundation for change and will always be important. As the world changes, I believe that architecture will have to adapt to these changes as well. My interest in architecture stems from my curiosity to be able to design structures to have a creative and appealing design, as well as still being sustainable to serve the needed purposes. I’m very happy to be a part of IAYP.
ALEXIA PAUNESCU, 16
My name is Alexia, I’m from Bucharest, Romania, and I am a rising junior in high school. I have always been drawn to sciences, particularly math and physics. But, while I like the critical rigor of science, I also enjoy creative pursuits, like drawing and design. My interest in architecture stems from trying to find a field that would integrate all of my interests, especially art and science. Also, I have always valued helping to solve environmental and social issues and I believe architecture can help me make my own contribution to this. My other hobbies include debate, playing the piano and reading.
KAMILLA TLEUOVA, 15
My name is Kamilla, and I'm a student at the Republican School of Physics and Mathematics. I'm 15 and currently living in Almaty, Kazakhstan. My favourite subject in school is maths. In my spare time I like to draw and paint and because of that I have chosen architecture as my passion! My other hobbies include swimming, playing the piano, and learning French. In the future, I want to be a student of a top university and develop further my passion in architecture.
I'm very happy to be involved in IAYP!
EDWIN MUI, 14
I am Edwin Mui, currently a freshman at Lick-Wilmerding high school, situated in San Francisco. In my free time, I love to play badminton and go camping with my troop. My passion for digital art and model-building fuels me to experience the field of architecture. I believe architecture is the perfect way to showcase my creations but also help the community in an impactful way. As I experience more and more architecture, I am starting to realize that architecture embraces so much more than just design and model building. And this is just the beginning. With my eyes set on going down the path of architecture, who knows what the future has for me?
